Isaiah 66:5-6

5 Hear the word of the Lord,
you who tremble at his word:
“Your brothers who hate you
and cast you out for my name’s sake
have said, a‘Let the Lord be glorified,
that we may see your joy’;
but it is they who shall be put to shame.
6 “The sound of an uproar from the city!
A sound from the temple!
The sound of the Lord,
brendering recompense to his enemies!

Matthew 24:9

9Then cthey will deliver you up dto tribulation and eput you to death, and fyou will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.

The Hatred of the World

18 mIf the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 nIf you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because oyou are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verses 14, 16
